I'm talking units per week, on average, LONG TERM. Let's assume that a unit is 1% of your bankroll, and you very rarely bet more than one unit on a game. You are limited to online outs only. You take advantage of a variety of situations, like prop bets, and you bet all major sports. Assume that your unit is not so large that you are changing markets with your bets. Therefore, you have the ability to get down at shops that have soft lines.

Consider that different seasons bring different conditions, and there are weeks when there is very little going on.

If you feel that you are a losing gambler, then feel free not to participate.

I do it per month as well, 10 is the goal, been hitting 15 or so.

I don't bet much more than 50-60 games per month right now, though, so I bet more than 1% per game...currently flat betting at 2.5% of whatever I start the month with.

The largest conceivable average per month year round? 30/mo-40/mo probably, if I had people working for me to collect and format data and was doing this as my sole occupation.

I make about 1500 bets/month at about -106.5 vig on average. I try to hit 53-54%. Average about 53.8% with line shopping... YOu can do the math to figure out units. I play an average of .8% of my bankroll per play with a .5 to 2.5% range.

I just did the math and you seem to be claiming 15 units a week.

That sounds about right. I've never broken it down to the week, but I double my bankroll about every 2 months - 3 months. I am up 123% since Sept 1st due to an extra good football season and some nice middles.

I don't plan on anything. It's just a hobby, I win and I lose. There was a time a long time ago when I naively believed I could supplement my salary, and that's when I had a problem

I remember over 20 years ago for over a 6 month span where I was making more in a week gambling than my actual full time job. I was thinking to myself how cool it would be if i kept this up.

It didnt last too much longer

Now my gambling is just "funny money". When i win, i dont spend it b/c i know i'm just going to give it back eventually

This is the reasoning of a sick, degenerate mind. And so we have Trotter, the protagonist of “Let It Ride” — a hapless, frumpled, grouch of a man who drives a taxi by night and gambles on horses by day. He reads his fortune cookie at dinner with his seriously at wits’ end wife in the opening scene shortly after pledging to her that he will stop gambling. And he means it when he says it. But the next day he ends up at the track and, in his words, has “a very good day.”
